Short Paris' Escapes - Part II

Last week we've spent few days on the west side of France. The more I travell in this country the more I fall in love.
After a 5h30 bus trip, I finally reached Nantes. Although it was easy to reach the city centre, I counted on the french natives' sympathy to find the good way.

The Chateau des duc de Bretagne
I didn't visit the castle as I was going to spend just a few hours in the city and I wanted to explore outside (and profit from the sun too!)

The Cathédrale St-Pierre-St-Paul (Nantes Cathedral) is one of France's last Gothic cathedrals

My delicious lunch in downtown accompanied by a dry Muscadet nantais. Just perfect!

The very same day, and now in Seb's company, we drove to the coast... and I could touch again the cold Atlantic ocean...
Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer

This is the holiday's place of Seb's childhood. It was so special he brought me here. He told me many stories about when he was child and used to spend holiday here with his family. I find beautiful these memories we keep from summer holiday, when days were endless, and it was all about family, friends and fun. I have mine too. One day I will talk about my special place.

Like all french trips, is never only about landscapes or culture. Food is an important checkpoint. And nothing better than the seaside to try the sea specialities such as Les Moules Marinieres!
Yummy!
