Expectation vs Reality

During Sebastien's absence, I planned cooking something different so he could be happy to come home and eat a nice dish. So, I've learned I should never try something new to surprise someone if I'm not sure it's going to be successful...

My inspiration was an omelette with meat, sweet potatoes and tomato

The reality was a miscellaneous of colours and textures that didn't "glue" at all !

What went wrong?
