... it's the portuguese word for Rice Pudding. It's a dessert made of rice boiled in milk and sugar, flavoured with lemon rind and cinnamon stick. Is a delicacy popular in all places where rice is known, from Asia – where it comes from -, Europe and Africa, where it was taken by ancient travellers and traders, and the Americas, where it was taken by European settlers.
